Geosynthetics 101

This session will offer an overview of the predominant types of geosynthetics used in site civil & roadway applications and discuss terminology, manufacturing, properties, and capabilities. We will review how geosynthetic technology has evolved to provide even more effective performance and cost savings in civil construction applications with case studies to demonstrate functions and applications.

Agency Alphabet Soup: An Introduction to GDOT’s Interagency Office of Environmental Quality (IOEQ)

Under the umbrella of IOEQ, GDOT funds over 18 positions at federal and state agencies for the purpose of prioritizing GDOT project reviews at each agency. IOEQ’s mission is to support and grow important relationships GDOT has with the various agencies while fostering collaboration and innovation. In this session, you’ll learn the short history of IOEQ and hear from representatives from each of the seven agencies with funded positions. They will share the mission of their respective agencies, how they interact with GDOT and other agencies, and their experiences as part of IOEQ. A moderated Q&A will round out the session.

TRACK 4:

GPTQ 3D Modeling Subcommittee Updates

This session will focus on the upcoming revisions to GDOT’s 3D Modeling Guidelines document, which is currently under development within the GPTQ Subcommittee. Subcommittee co-chairs will present the additional deliverable requirements expected in the next version of the guidance document, in addition to past and on-going initiatives. The session will also include a panel discussion and Q&A session with a larger group of subcommittee members.
